Ultrasound
All types of ultrasounds under one roof
Diagnostic ultrasound is the use of high-frequency sound waves to view internal body structures. A small device called a probe is used to transmit sound waves into the body, which are then reflected off organs and body tissues. Those reflections (echoes) bounce back to the probe and are converted electronically into images. If blood flow is being assessed, audible sound as well as an image can be produced.

MRI, short for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is an advanced imaging technology that provides doctors with the means to look at internal organs, blood vessels, muscles, joints, tumours or infected areas—without using x-rays or surgery. MRI uses a magnet so it is a very safe method of examination and has no adverse effects. MRI does not expose you to any radiation.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound—an accurate and dynamic examination technique—is a method of choice for diagnosing certain musculoskeletal disorders in tendons or muscles, for which x-rays lack sensitivity and specificity.
What does an injection treatment consist of?
The drug normally injected is cortisone, a derivative of a natural hormone with anti-inflammatory properties. Injections are commonly used and have been shown to be extremely effective in alleviating pain and promoting healing. The procedure involves applying an effective local anesthetic and injecting cortisone directly into the affected area.
